The article presents the results of a chronic physiological experiment studying the role of ciliates in the metabolism of soybean processing products. The use of fistula technologies allows us to obtain fundamental knowledge about the processes of microbial fermentation of soybean protein. A comparative analysis of the number of ciliates in 1 ml of rumen fluid of sheep is given when soybeans, soybean meal, fodder and soybean meal are introduced into the diet. Based on the study of protein metabolism indicators, such as total nitrogen and urea, conclusions are made about the efficiency of soybean protein metabolism in the rumen of ruminants.
