The production of high-quality feeds requires an increase in their nutritional value based on new technical and technological solutions. One of the ways to solve this problem is to obtain juice from green plants with its further use as a feed additive. The presses used showed low process efficiency due to insufficient compression of the material inside the chamber. Based on theoretical studies, it has been proved that the squeezing force in a twin-screw press during inter-turn interaction will be greater than in a single-screw design. A new technical solution is proposed that ensures the crushing of the material in the inter-screw space of the first screw by the coils of the second screw and further compaction of the material with the possibility of maximum squeezing of cell juice and regulating the density of pulp inside the chamber. In this case, the material is initially crushed and turned into a paste by gears that transfer the torque from the drive to the screws. To ensure the production of a screw pair combined with a cylindrical gear train of external engagement, the main parameters of the gear train were calculated to ensure a constant minimum gap between the turns of the screw pair, preventing them from touching. The proposed development will improve productivity due to the increased area of the perforated surface with constant kinematic parameters. It will also ensure that foaming is prevented.
