The article provides an analysis of modern polymer materials. Polymers are widely used for mulching and sheltering plants from adverse weather conditions in crop production, horticulture and landscape architecture. This paper provides recommendations and lists the rules for using polycarbonate greenhouses to obtain high yields of fruits and vegetables. Аgrotextile, landscape fabric and mulching film are the most widely used for mulching. When choosing from a huge range of polymer mulching and covering materials, it is necessary to take into account the needs and properties of the materials. The presented article is of practical importance for farmers and gardeners.
