In recent decades, species of the genus Prinsepia (Rosaceae) have attracted attention as sources of secondary metabolites for the production of new drugs, as well as promising species for urban landscaping. Reproduction of these plants is possible only by seed. In this regard, studies and quality assessment of drupes of Chinese flatseed or Prinsepia sinensis (Oliv.) Hallier collected in the Amur region, Primorye and St. Petersburg were conducted. It was shown that to increase germination, drupes should be stratified or scarified before sowing. In the first year, germination reaches 90–100%. After three years of storage, the seeds completely lose their germination.
