Assessment of collection samples of spring bread wheat in Khabarovsk territory

Abstract

The experience was carried out on the basis of the Far Eastern Agricultural Research Institute (Khabarovsk Territory) from 2018 to 2020. The object of research is a collection of spring bread wheat. As a result of the research, samples with the minimum duration of the growing season (72-75 days) were identified: Dian 81 V-418 (China); Calispero (France); KWS 240-3-13 (Germany); Libertina, Odeta, Kitri (Czech Republic); Iset 45, Nerda, Chelyaba rannyaya (Russia). A high grain yield (38.3–52.2 centner/ha) was noted in the collection varieties – Chi Mai 1, Dian 81 V-418 (China); Boett (Sweden); KWS 240-3-13, KWS Jetstream (Germany); Lyubava, Laska, Sudarynya (Belarus); Yoldyz, Al Varis (Tatarstan); Kitri, Odeta (Czech Republic); Calispero, Eleganza, Cornetto (France); Sibirskaya 24, Iset 45, Grenada, Klara, Kalinka, Nerda, Start, Burlak, OmGAU 100, Tulaykovskaya 116 (Russia), exceeding the standard variety Khabarovskaya by 1.3–15.2 centner/ha. The largest grain (35.1–46.7 g) formed genotypes FAO 26.415 (Afghanistan); Chi Mai 1, Dian 81 V-418 (China); Hayat, Yoldyz, Bulyak, Al Varis (Tatarstan); Libertina, Odeta, Kitri (Czech Republic); Cornetto (France); KWS 240-3-13, KWS Jetstream (Germany); Sibirskaya 24, Grenada, Klara, Kalinka, Nerda, Start, Burlak, Ekada 214, Stolypinskaya 2, OmGAU 100, Omsk yubileynaya, Botanicheskaya 81, Tulaykovskaya 116, Kinelskaya volna, Iren 2 (Russia). It was found that the Boett variety (Sweden) was characterized by high resistance to lodging in the agroecological conditions of the region. The selected collection samples are a valuable source material, and are of interest for further breeding work to create highly productive varieties of spring bread wheat under the conditions of the Khabarovsk Territory.
