Abstract

The article presents the results of the assessment of the impact of seasonal operating conditions of transport on the operability of the lead storage battery (LSB) in order to ensure reliable engine start-up and failure-free operation of electric equipment of cars. In the Amur region, transportation works are carried out under significant seasonal variations in operating conditions such as climatic, road, industrial and others, which significantly affect the technical condition indicators of the lead storage battery (LSB). Intensive operation of LSB in the mode of frequent car launches over a short interval with alternating long standstills until full load during field work leads to a decrease in LSB reliability without additional charging in low temperatures, and as a result, difficulty in starting the engine. In this regard, in order to increase the efficiency of energy means use in various temperature modes, it is necessary to maintain the optimal temperature mode of the LSB.
