Abstract

During harvesting, it is necessary to properly organize the delivery of the crop from the harvester bunker to the elevator. To exclude the downtime of the harvester in the field while waiting for unloading, it is necessary to accurately calculate the minimum number of vehicles for uninterrupted delivery of the crop from the harvester bunker to the post-harvest grain processing point or to the elevator. The variety of combines used for grain harvesting and the difference in their characteristics requires consideration of the dependences of vehicle number on the width change of the reaper grasp and the combine bunker capacity. The vehicles of different carrying capacity are used for grain transporting in farms. Depending on the capacity of the harvester bunker, such vehicles are able to work simultaneously with one or more combine harvesters. The yield also affects the filling time of the harvester bunker, and therefore the required number of vehicles. The article considers the indicators affecting the number of cars and provides analytical dependences of changes in their number, all other things being equal. One of the ways to reduce the need for cars during the harvesting process is the use of grain carts. The use of grain carts is widely used abroad. However, they have not found such widespread use in domestic agricultural enterprises. The analysis carried out makes it possible to assess the effectiveness of their use during the harvesting process.
