The choice of a rational pharmacotherapy regimen for nephrosis in pigs remains an urgent task of veterinary nephrology. Ineffective treatment of animals leads to the chronization of the process, the development of kidney failure and significant economic losses. The aim of the research was to compare the therapeutic efficacy of two schemes of pharmacocorrection of nephrosis in pigs and to substantiate the optimal treatment protocol. On the basis of one of the agricultural enterprises, 6 sows of a large white breed with diagnosed nephrosis were examined. Group I animals were prescribed Sinulox RTU (8.75 mg/kg intramuscularly); Urotropin 40% (0.5 ml/10 kg intravenously, 2 times a day); Ringer-Locke solution (200 ml subcutaneously) and Lauritin C (3 ml intramuscularly, 2 times a day). Group II animals were prescribed Penbex (1 ml/10 kg intramuscularly); Urotropin 40% (0.5 ml/10 kg intravenously, once a day); glucose solution 5% (200 ml subcutaneously) and Tonocard (3 ml/30 kg intramuscularly, 2 times per day). The course of treatment was 5 days. In animals of group I, the disappearance of clinical signs of nephrosis was noted on the 5th day, whereas in group II only on the 7th day. By the 5th day of treatment in group I, all blood and urine parameters returned to normal. In group II, leukocytosis (24.2×109/l) and lymphocytosis (48%) persisted on day 5, and biochemical parameters returned to normal only by day 7. The authors concluded that the pharmacorrection scheme used for pigs of group I demonstrates the greatest therapeutic efficacy in nephrosis in pigs. It provided a faster normalization of laboratory parameters and clinical condition.
