Abstract

The authors present the results of studies of the effect of betulin and its combination with the preparation of humic and fulvic acids "AL KARAL" on the biochemical parameters of blood serum of lactating Holstein cows in the Sverdlovsk region. To conduct experimental studies, three groups of animals were formed using the analog method, taking into account age, body weight, lactation stage and productivity. The control group received a basic diet, the first experimental group received a basic diet with the addition of betulin at a dose of 10 g per head per day, the second experimental group received a basic diet with the addition of 10 g of betulin and 150 ml of AL KARAL per head per day. It was established that by the end of the period of maximum milk yield in the control group, the activity of alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase did not significantly exceed the normative values (36,74 and 110,56 u/l, respectively), which indicates the development of cytolytic syndrome. In the experimental groups, the supplements provided a pronounced hepatoprotective effect: aspartate aminotransferase significantly decreased to 84,36 u/l (group 1) and 82,62 u/l (group 2), while alanine aminotransferase remained within the physiological norm. The glucose content in the control group significantly decreased (to 2,998 mmol/L), whereas the combination of betulin with the "AL KARAL" supplement (group 2) ensured its stabilization at an optimal level of 3,68 mmol/L, which significantly exceeded the control values. By the end of the experiment, all groups of animals showed a decrease in the content of calcium and carotene below the standard values, which indicates their intensive excretion in milk and necessitates additional mineral and vitamin correction of the diet. The combined use of betulin with the additive "AL KARAL" is recommended. This will ensure hepatoprotection and stabilization of energy metabolism in lactating cows.
